I think that everyone should write down the 10 things that they want to do in their lifetime. And then as they seek out those ideas; they grow from each experience and continue on embracing it and developing it as they grow.
Of course none of these postings are goals that I believe to be achieved in any chronological order.
So now my first post: My #1.
1) To marry a man that is going understand my passion for my culture. Since I first saw Zorro when I was 9 years old; I grasped the idea that I would one day dance with my husband like Zorro and Alena. My soon to be husband will have to help with me with my #1. And that is to perform a Spanish dance for our “First dance at our wedding”. It is defiantly going to be a challenge. Part of our wedding planning is going to be taking salsa/tango lessons. My hope is that we will end up enjoying the strenuous work that comes with perfecting such a dance. If we can conquer an incredibly difficult dance, then that may just be the best start to an eternal marriage.
I envision myself in a Grace Kelly style dress *like in the picture above*; with a midnight blue/silver themed Tuscany/Latin style wedding reception (a mixture of the wedding from Mama Mia and my own Latin accents) dancing to "I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You" by Marc Anthony and Tina Arena. Every time that song comes on I belt it out as loud as I can as I daydream of the dance moves that will go to a certain part of the song. Got to love the violins and drums… awe, sensational! I do not want an expensive wedding; just an original and meaningful one, and that can help translate my dream of my “perfect wedding”.
In case you were wondering why I was so inspired by the Zorro/Alena dance… well take a look! Do you think I could pull it off…. hmmmm…well we’ll see right? I may post this video, but if, and when I get that video of my own imitation of the dance….well….… that’s to be determined.
